Hi, I’m Dondra, the photographer behind Pet Pawtography.
Behind the lens
Photography has been a passion of mine since I was 16 years old. Over the years, I’ve photographed everything from landscapes and wildlife to motorcycle racing, but my love for animals has always held a special place in my heart.
Throughout my photography journey, I’ve continually trained and refined my eye through numerous workshops and hands-on experiences covering a wide range of subjects, including motorcycle racing, wildlife, nature, lego and pet photography. Each experience has helped shape my ability to capture authentic moments, emotion, movement, and personality in every image I create.
As a pet owner myself, I understand how much our furry companions mean to us. I shared many wonderful years with my German Shepherd, who sadly passed away in 2019, and my beloved cats, whom I lost before that. Those experiences taught me just how precious the memories we create with our pets truly are.
home to Colorado
In 2026, after many years honing my craft as a pet photographer in England, I came home to Colorado. I’m so happy to be back among familiar landscapes and faces, bringing all that experience with me to every session.
When you book a session with me, my promise is simple: no rushing, no stress, and no forcing your pet to “perform.” I work at their pace, in a calm, relaxed setting, with plenty of treats and patience on hand. Whether your pet is bold and bouncy or shy and unsure, I take the time to let them settle so their real character shines through. The result is photographs that genuinely look like them, not stiff, posed snapshots, but the cheeky, soulful, one-of-a-kind expressions you fall in love with every day.
My goal is simple: to create beautiful, lasting photographs that capture your dog, cat or unusual pet exactly as you know and love them, the ones you’ll treasure long after the paw prints have faded from the floor.
